PRACTICAL GUIDE

Keep an independent copy of important records

Exports and backups serve different purposes. Use the right one, and know what recovery has actually been verified.

01Choose the output
02Download securely
03Check the copy
04Plan recovery

CSV for working with records

Use CSV exports when you need a tabular copy for reconciliation or reporting. Currency is included for rate context. Settings also offers role-appropriate team, attachment-metadata, business and billing-state exports. Provider identity values, invitation hashes, storage keys and Stripe identifiers are deliberately excluded. A spreadsheet export is not a copy of file contents; owners use the bounded backup download for records plus files.

Owner backup for recovery

Owners can download a fuller business backup with records and files, subject to the preview’s documented limits. Store it somewhere access-controlled; it can contain customer and staff information.

A download is only the start

Check that the copy is usable and keep a version history outside the application. Recovery tooling rejects overwrites and cross-business restores. Local restore checks have passed; hosted disaster recovery has not yet been signed off.

Do not assume automatic protection

Scheduled off-site backups are not running in the evaluation. Until that launch work is completed, keep independent copies and do not use the preview as your sole safety-critical record.
